Uyghur Appeal
The whole world is aware of the oppression our Uyghur brothers and sisters are going through. Those who were lucky enough to escape the ordeal had to flee from their own homeland. This migration came at a heavy cost—some paying as much as $25000 per person. Thus, they were forced to sell all their belongings just to finance their ticket to freedom—to Turkey, where they can live safely and practice their faith. The lucky few that arrive in Turkey are financially broke, have few possessions, and have few prospects of earning a livelihood. As for the displaced widows and children, the situation is even worse.
Aile has met many Uyghur families in Turkey and heard from them firsthand of the oppression they had to go through. We have established direct contact within the Uyghur community here. Our vision is to ease the hardship of our Uyghur sisters—those who lost a loved one (a husband) or are imprisoned with unknown status. We aim to do so by providing them with financial assistance, food boxes, and hygiene packs.
