Yemen Appeal
The case in Yemen is said to be “the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.” About 85% of the people are in need of urgent aid and live below the poverty line. The outbreak of COVID-19 made matters worse, with the economy already in shambles. Yemen is being driven to the brink of famine, with over 80% of the population being food insecure and not knowing where their next meal is coming from. Nearly 18 million people, including 9.2 million children, do not have regular access to safe water, according to UNICEF. Widows and orphans are among the biggest victims of the crisis, without a breadwinner in the house to support their livelihood.
We are registered in Yemen, and our teams are spread across Yemen, capable of delivering aid to seven provinces: Sana’a, Taiz, al-Hodeidah, al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Ibb, and Raymah. In the near future, we will expand to other provinces to reach more people in need.
Our goal in Yemen is to end malnutrition, provide access to clean drinking water, and ensure food security. To achieve this, our teams have travelled difficult terrain across Yemen to remote villages on mountain tops to provide special neutrino meals and baby milk to children suffering from malnutrition, build water wells, and provide thousands of food packs.
Please help us continue our existing projects as well as expand our assistance to our brothers and sisters in Yemen.
